General Availability of Nutanix Cloud Clusters on Azure

Microsoft has announced on 14 March 2023 the general availability of Nutanix Cloud Clusters (NC2) on Microsoft Azure to simplify and accelerate the customer journey to the cloud. NC2 on Azure is now generally available in AU East, parts of Asia and USA. This is a huge milestone for IT organisations in achieving faster migrations to the cloud, having better agility and significantly reducing cloud costs.

NC2 enables businesses to deploy and manage all forms of applications across Microsoft Azure and Nutanix private cloud environments, providing a consistent and integrated hybrid cloud experience without any requirement to rearchitect workloads. Customers can also take advantage of Azure Hybrid Benefit as well as Extended Security Updates to improve cost, security, and efficiency. Nutanix customers will be able to port their existing term licenses to NC2 on Azure or get on-demand consumption of Nutanix software through the Azure Marketplace, enabling frictionless movement between private clouds and Microsoft Azure.

• Optimise existing investments: Leverage your team’s existing Nutanix skills and tools to migrate and extend Nutanix workloads to Azure by easily moving existing applications and data as-is without refactoring or retooling.
• Gain cloud scale and agility: Spin up or spin down Nutanix resources in Azure as needed – a great way to accommodate changing needs such as seasonal business trends or mergers and acquisitions. Or set up disaster recovery in the cloud. No need to overprovision your datacenters – pay for what you use in the cloud.
• Modernize with native Azure services: Drive innovation through integration with other Azure services, such as Azure Active Directory, security, AI, and analytics.
